Trinity Guy to remain in Prison
The Oyo State Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, has extended the remand of skit maker Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, and the parents of the minor involved in his controversial prank video. The court ordered that they remain in prison until August 31. The Oyo State police command had summoned Trinity Guy in June following the release of the video. He was subsequently arraigned on two-count charges of conspiracy, child abuse, and exploitation, along with Isiaka Ahmed and Rofiat, the parents of the girl. On June 26, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi ordered the skit maker and the parents to be remanded until July 11. However, during the second hearing on Tuesday, the Magistrate extended their remand in the Agodi prison and adjourned the case until August 31 for further proceedings.
